Bute for footiness?

I have had wraps on my boy, they are brilliant for when you have had an abscess or for very footsore horses, they stimulate the hoof and you get amazing growth whilst they are on!
You can't ride out in them as they are slippery on tarmac, but you can boot over them or have the pro wraps which have a sole!

Do you know if I could put them on the night before so the staff don't have to in the morning or would that cause more problems?

As you say your farrier is anti barefoot, perhaps it would be a good idea to have a chat with a trimmer! If you look on the link I sent you and go to Find a DAEP you will find some in your area, could be worth a consultation!
I have never attempted to apply wraps myself.

Tricky because he's mates with my mum and shoes her horse still, if I got a trimmer I'd be cut off so if he did ever need shoes back on I'd have to find another farrier which I wouldn't want to do as he is a good farrier!

Just a little update, he had a bute last night and the girl who turned him out this morning said he strode up to the field when usually he would shuffle and stop several times. :)
