Phenylbutazone Questionnaire

Introduction
Phenylbutazone is one of the most common drugs distributed and sold in the UK.
It is a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
Provides an anti-inflammatory and pain-killing effect.
Used on a variety of horses both in and out of work.
Not allowed in most equine disciplines except Polo
Used for long-term and short-term effect.

I'm currently using bute for the first time, and hope that my mare will be off it soon, but it has seemed to improve the low grade lameness she has suffered as a result of a banged foot.
