Bute

My old horsey is on bute for his ailments, arthritis and his sacroiliac problems! Sounds like hes buggered but vet said he's just old early! He's an ex show jumper and has points on his card from Ireland as a 4 year old so know he's been going a fair while! Anyway after having a second opinion on him the vet increased his dose for winter to two a day and back Down to one in spring! Since this dosage has been in place it's like having my old horse back!!! He's so happy and playful and completely perked up!
Anyone else out there have their old neddy on drugs?
I'm soooooo pleased wish they could talk sometimes!!!

My boys the same hunted twice a week he's now down to 1 every other day and is so much better ive looked at other types of substitute bute but the vet recomends BUTE ! I take him off it in the summer.

My Alfie has been on bute got the last week now and yesterday whilst we were waiting for the dentist, he was getting so worked up in his stable so I decided I'd let him off in the school... WELL.... Who replaced my lame old fella for this 3 year old menace!!!! Lol!! He's seemed well happy!!! He's going to be off it at the end of the week and we shall see how he is
