Butet - 17 or 18"?

Sat in friend's Butet over the weekend - total saddle porn. Fell in love and lost brain, thinking of getting one! I normally ride in a 17.5" but they only come in full sizes so should I go up or down a size? Do they run true to size? Can't remember what size friend's Butet was

Totally understand you falling in love with the Butets - I've had 3 now - I love them!! Mine is a 17" jumping saddle, and I'm 5'5, my mum who is 5'8 also rides in it without trouble. I would suggest unless you're particularly tall, a 17" would be fine. But if you're thinking of getting one I would recommend getting in touch with Sederholm Selected (easy to find via Google search), who I think are the UK's only supplier, they will come out to you and fit a saddle to you and the horse, so you can try both sizes

No charge for fitting either if you buy the saddle!

Butet = rider heaven/financial ruin. They're a really nice brand of saddle...

I would have thought a 17" would be fine unless as said above you are really tall, especially if you are going for the flat seat one as it will give you more room.
