Just a small rant as to the button pushers on here! I have just received a warning as my signature was a whole 26 pixels too big! This was the same signature I have used for years! If it bothered people couldn't they just tell me?

People must be really bored tonight or maybe it was really offensive.....;)

Has anyone else been warned for small silly things? Lol

And f it did actually bother people then I apologise!

I got a PM saying mine used to be a bit big and they didn't want me to get in trouble (something along those lines) and I was happy to change it. Why could they have not just done that?!

Because not everybody are as decent as some ;)

In the e-mail they stated that 'someone had alerted them about the size of my signature' . A nice pm would have been good! Any who there are worst things out there for me to worry about but if that was the worse thing for someone then I wish I had their life ;)

I had the same thing about my previous sig. Obviously some people have nothing better to do! :p I have seen far bigger than mine in the meantime!

I got button pushed for mine being 20 pixels too big  a quick pm would have done the job but some people seem to like to hide behind their computer screen.

Apparently, for people using their phones to access the forum, the big signatures make it take a lot longer to load, I suppose it must be annoying for them but agree a pm might have been nicer. TFC told me in the past that they do not read any posts unless they have been alerted to them so if ever they contact anyone for any reason it is because that person has been reported.

I gave up with a sig as too many button pushers on here .
Whats to stop you posting a sig picture in your thread every time???

And on laptops/netbooks etc you have to scroll back and forth to read texts because the sigs stretch the page when theyre over sized.
I just have sigs turned off because they get on my nerves when theyre too big, theyre a nuisance.

On a phone you don't get sigs :( (I'm on mine now) and I have a little netbook and hardly any current signatures cause problems it's only when there's big pictures or people put more than one picture on one line. It does push the adverts off the page though so that might be why h&h is so bothered by it.

*Waves* Yep, me too.

I got the same email saying someone had complained about my signature too. The amendments I had to make we minescule.

And I wouldn't worry about what the HHO admin think - seems they are quite used to it and it's hardly like we've boiled our babies alive or anything is it?

**warning I am a technophobe so apologies if this isn;t possible/make sense sort of thing**

How can your sig be tooo big?? if the system is letting you add it then it's not to big? Surely if there is a limit in the pixel thingy it won't let you add it??

Sounds as if the button pusher had a serious case of soured grapes and perhaps a case of the green eyed monster :) :p :D

When you join HHO, and every time you log on, you are agreeing to abide by their t&c's, which includes things like sig size. Maximum size is 700 x 300 pixels.

If you want to check then right click on your sig, and go to 'Inspect Element'. On the right hand side you will see a column of headings, click on 'metrics' and you will see the size of your sig :)

And yes, agree a pm is a much better idea, I pm'd someone the other day but sadly it had been reported before she got my pm.

Rhino,

what I was meaning was the size thing - surely if you are trying to create a sig bigger than the size allowed the system will be unable to accept it therfor how can it be too big?

as I said I am a technophobe (hence no sig or photo or anything) However, my OH is quite computery (I tend not to listen to him when he talks about it) He's on a v popular fishing forum and when he was doing his sig it was tooo big and it came up saying it was too big so wouldn;t save it and he had to get it to the right size before it would accept.

Nope, doesn't work like that on here I'm afraid. Perhaps if anyone is that bothered they could ask in suggestions and feedback to see if it was a possible add on to this forum? :)
