So as you all know i brought a mini Shetland for my daughter, However, he is only 8years old and he is very very nervous = not a good choice for my daughter first pony. We now believe perhaps he been mistreated in the past ect. I will not sell this pony as he is adorable and despite his nervousness the thought he could end up in a bad home or sold on to the meat man means i will not budge. At the same time i do not have the time to be there morning and night bringing this pony on plus looking after 2 horses and i do not have a small capable rider to help. Do you think its worth me putting him out on permanent loan as a companion, advertising for a very confident child to bring him on. Im heart broken about this situation but although now he lives a life of luxury i feel it unfair that he should be wasted at such a young age just stuck in a field.
I am on the hampshire/berkshire border if anyone can help. He is only 8hh.
Thanks in advance x

I used to take my mini out on ride and lead. He loved it. Give the pony something to look forward too. Make it work for its cuteness! He got very fit and was amazingly fast, could gallop like a nutter!
