I'm looking to buy an ISH or TB in Ireland. Where can I find horsedealers? I dont know where to look, I only know donedeal.ie

I live in Sweden so I need to do some research before I'll jump on a plane to Ireland :D

Im looking for a mare/filly which is sired by Master imp, Crusing or Ghareeb. In my dreams the horse will have at least to of the stallions in her pedigree.
Rhett Butler is also o nice sire/grandsire.
(I have one 3year old at home by Odermus R-Rhett Butler xx-Battleburn xx).

Stick this in the breeding forum for the irish breeders, you will get a better response. Also hunt on facebook for the irish horse breeders association. Both will be able to help you and good luck!

Also should say you have picked on the 3 most popular sires so you will be paying a premium for a good youngster with those lines.

Highly recommend Ballyshan Sport Horses (Paul is on this forum too). They breed fantastic youngsters and I think have some just going through backing.

Yes I would go to Goresbridge horse sales. If you go over for the 5 day sale in September you will see several go through with the breeding that your looking for and if you get hold of a catalog in advance all the breeding of the lots is listed. Additionally, if you buy a horse at the sales for export you can claim some or all of your travelling expenses back.

Have a look at www.irishhorsegateway.ie It's a new site where sellers must sign a code of conduct to list horses. Budget is typically over €5k on that site though. Some top sellers on there including Carol Gee / Fernhill Sport Horses. (I have no connection but have drooled over some of her horses!)

Mine was originally from gorsebridge then bought by longfield farm. I got her in the uk but they have some lovely horses and a great website

as Jnhuk has said, give measles a PM.
she has a good eye and sources a lot of horses from Ireland.

I went through an agent and ended up with an ISH from a dealer local to him.

Thanks everyone. We have very few ISH-horses in Sweden so if I want one I have to look in UK or Ireland. I will give Measles a PM, take a look at Gorsebridge website and contact Ballyshan Sport Horses.

To bad the sires are popular in Ireland, I hoped I could get a horse quite cheap ;) .
