Has anyone purchased a horsebox in the UK but had it shipped to another country? If so, how did you get it transported to where you live? And costs (feel free to PM me)? To explain: I would love to purchase a Cheval Liberte single-capacity horsebox but am finding it impossible to find one in the country where I live.

But there does seem to be supply of this make in the UK (I only want single capacity as this is perfectly adequate for what I need. I have also looked at other makes but believe that the Cheval Liberte would be ideal for what I want).

Thanks in advance.

Where do you live? If you can't find a dealer in your country, I personally would buy one in the UK and then just tow it to its destination. Would be quite easy if you live in Northern France and purchased one in Southern England I would have thought?

Thanks for this reply. I live in RoI. Part of the attraction of the Cheval Liberte is that this is a first time box investment for me because I have never towed before. Having never towed before, a cross-the-sea trip won't be possible for me to do for some time yet. I could ask a family member to do the trip for me but they aren't that keen on the idea, funnily enough!!

But I was wondering if perhaps one of the equine transporters might pop it onto the end of their rigs on trips back from the UK? However perhaps this would be an insurance nightmare?
