Am I in the wrong or is this false advertising??
I ordered some ariat bromonts off of eBay from a company called chelford farm supplies. They were advertised as a 'wide' fitting. I had been searching for a wide for a while as the 'full' fit was a bit of a squeeze. I had tried the 'wide' on in my local tack shop and they fitted lovely.
Anyway boots arrived and they were not a wide at all, they were the full fit. I rang the company and they said that ariat are an American company who sometimes refer to their boots as a 'full' fit and even though it says full on the box, they are actually 'wide'. I argued this as ariat do make a 'wide' fit so this is what I assumed I was getting. After many emails they agreed to refund me the boots but are refusing to refund the £25 postage I have just paid out to send boots back.
Now if I had ordered them in error I would take the postage on the chin and use it as a learning curve that I should read things better but both the advert and the invoice stated the boots were wide so surely this is not my fault and I should be entitled to a full refund???
I know it's only £25 but its money down the drain for boots I wouldn't of ordered if they were advertised as full. Grrrrrr!!!
