As title really - would you do it? Foal is from a well known breeder of a particular breed I am after and breeders of these are few and far between. Realistically, I couldn't go and see it more than once or twice before weaning and this is really putting me off.

But obviously it is done, and these breeders send their foals to buyers all over the world who I assume buy based on the parents and from photos alone???

I have previously and would again if it was the right foal. I had updates with photos and letters/emails. Good luck

Did you go and see it initially or simply go by the photos and reputation of breeder?

I have sold foals all over the country and people come and see them initially before aggreeing to buy, some then come again to see them if they are not too far away , others don't. I always keep them updated with photo's by email. Ive only once sold one unseen and she went to The Isle of Man (deposit was paid when she was a month old). When i bought Skyhawk, he was advertised at 3 months old and i went to see him then, and aggreed to buy him, then didn't see him again till he arrived at 7 months old, Alex kept me updated with photo's.
