Buying a freezemarked horse...

Would a horse with a freezemark on it's shoulder put you off from buying it?

I think it shows the previous owner has good initiative and has done you a favour by protecting your new ned

wouldn't put me off my ned has a freeze mark tattoo not white mark. think its like buying a car with a tracker you feel safer

Totally agree! First thing I did when getting my coloured was to have him freezemarked. Didn't want under saddle as it would have been a bald mark due to his colour. Also although marks in saddle area may be considered more fashionable how likely is it that a prospective thief is going to see your horse has an identifiable mark on it when you are out riding if it is hidden under your bum!

Wouldn't bother me, i would prefer under the saddle but it wouldn't bother me either way

Not at all , infact if it isnt, i get it freezemarked so saves me a few quid if it already is

I would be delighted if all mine came ready freezemarked, regardless of where. I actually prefer it on the shoulder too.

Not at all. I choose to have mine marked on the shoulder so if somebody else has already had it done I would be delighted.
