Buying a freezemarked horse...

Would a freezemark on the horses shoulder put you off from purchasing?

Not at all!
I think it shows the previous owner has good initiative and has done you a favour by protecting your new ned :)

One less job for you to do!

wouldn't put me off my ned has a freeze mark tattoo not white mark. think its like buying a car with a tracker you feel safer

Totally agree! First thing I did when getting my coloured was to have him freezemarked. Didn't want under saddle as it would have been a bald mark due to his colour. Also although marks in saddle area may be considered more fashionable how likely is it that a prospective thief is going to see your horse has an identifiable mark on it when you are out riding if it is hidden under your bum!

I would be delighted if all mine came ready freezemarked, regardless of where. I actually prefer it on the shoulder too.:)
