I am thinking of travelling down to kent to look for my new Irish Sport Horse as I am fed up of travelling miles to see one privately owned horse which is not what it says it is! Therefore thought I'd go and have a look at a few in one go. If anyone has experience of any dealers please will you let me know or pm me.

Thanks a lot.

Do you live in Kent, OP? I wondered why you are interested in Kent dealers particulary?

And this probably isn't latest news! ;-)

I live in Lancashire but there seem to be a lot of dealers in the Kent area so thought I would go down for two days and zap a few. I am looking for around 16hh gelding who is a good solid all rounder.

Thanks for all your replies.

I went down about a month ago to Irish sports imports, personally I found them very pushy and in a rush , I didn't have a massive budget but I would never bother going again.

The horses had only arrived the day before and still had plats in and there numbers still on there rump.

I was told there was 50 horses to come and see realistically there was only 4 I told them what my budget was before I went and what I was looking for. When I got there I was asked what my budget was wich I said and she was like well we have nothing for that what can you get up to.

Not the nicesest of experiences especially when I travelled 2.5 hrs which I had told them before I came.

Having said this my friends brought 2 from them to bring on and sell there budget was 500 pounds more than mine they were nice enough horses but they weren't buying to keep so maybe had more leyway to what they wanted .
