Buying a horse with BE points (also in CR)

Can a horse with BE points compete (with a different rider) at unaffiliated hunter trials, ODEs etc or do they have to compete HC? Sorry, probably a numpty question.

i think it would depend upon the rules for the individual events- theres nothing from BE that says you can't but the unaff event itself might have something in the rules about horses with points- particularly for novice unaffil classes. i know BRC have rules about horses with points in their classes so you might want to contact them direct if thats what you are interested in...
