Buying a horse with my boyfriend - ownership?

Will you be willing to do most of the care? I don’t think it should be a case of you reluctantly helping him out with his horse. If you are happy to do most of the day to day stuff, I think you should probably own the horse.

Yes I enjoy taking care of the mare and I would like to be the one making the decisions and bringing her on, but I think I would feel more comfortable with that if she were actually mine, as opposed to me doing most of the work but on paper she's his... I guess I need to have an open and honest conversation with my OH about how involved he wants to be in the day to day.
