Hiya , thanks fr replying. I wouldn't agree to buy and then change my mind once id seen it. I was thinking more about those boxes that are quite a distance away so it's not necessarily feasible to g and view before bidding etc.
I bought my current horse box from eBay, it wads bit of a bargain and didn't have time/be bothered to drive other end of country for it! Saw loads of pictures and decided to take a gamble, especially as they delivered it for me.
If the seller is willing to deliver it and you are quite a distance it would fill me with confidence that box was sound! I was more concerened that the horse area was what I wanted, as the rest of it is easy to update.
My experience is much the same as michelleyork. It was a gamble as it was buying unseen, but again, the seller was willing to drive three hours to bring it, and took our old one as px. It was a gamble that paid off as the only problem we have is a couple of small leaks and a supposedly new battery that failed us which was easily sorted. We have a great mechanic which was reassuring too.
We bought ours and went to collect it from York (back to Wiltshire).
It has been fab, flew through the plating the first year, and no major drama since.
The lady did tell us that she used to drive to exmoor in it to go hunting though, and she seemed pretty straight up, so we took a punt. Really paid off.
