do Ifor Williams trailers hold their value so ridiculously well  It is like trying to buy a second hand Landrover, the wretched things just do not depreciate at all

I can get a perfectly good Rice trailer for around £500-£1000 (or I could if there was one near enough to me :p) but a similar age IW would be something like £2500 :confused::confused:

I dont understand :(

I doubt the IW are as old as the Rice..... A 5-10 yr old Rice when I was looking (3 yrs ago) were about £3-4k! (New they are £5-6k) and REALLY difficult to find.

I sold a 40 yr old Rice (fully restored) for £850. Should have put it up for more, sold within 24hrs and had people queueing up.... Doubt you could find a 40 yr old IW!!! they're just not the same build quality (if they even exisited then!)

Hmmmm I guess you are right :) Just phoned up about a Rice one which is blummin miles away but is the nearest I can find :):)

have you tried nfed? Don't think you're a million miles away from some of the area it covers.... They have a good trailer for sale section. :)

Just beware if you go for an older Rice model that they weigh tons, I know this from experience I bought one ages ago for £300 but my 4 x 4 strugged with it when loaded, i've know got a lightweight Ifor Williams, they are worth the extra money. Good luck. Have you tried e-bay thats where i got my IW.
