Hi,
So far we've decided that preloved/freeads/horsemart are safer options than ebay as you get to see it and inspect it first, then hand over the cash as you take the trailer (rather than paying in advance, unseen). Would that tally with other people's opinions/experiences?
OH is mostly concerned about: working electrics for the journey home, and sound tyres (he's worried a blow-out could do a lot of damage to the tow car - do blow outs happen often in a trailer?). He is happy to rebuild anything needed once we're home, and we can get our local garage to do any extra electrical work. We want something lightweight (e.g. rice continental, single trailer, rice eventer) and so not so bothered about condition as long as it's fixable and reflected in the price.
Anything else we should know/check? How do you check it's not stolen, or is it just hope with that one?
