Hi, hope someone can help or advise ! I have just agreed to buy 2 acres of land next to my existing yard - It is a fairly straightforward purchase as a culvert (bridge) will be put in to the field from my yard and it will be fenced as it is part of a larger field - the seller has agreed to do the culvert and fencing as part of the price so I would need this agreed in writing prior to exchange - Do I need a solicitor - I have contacted the one I used a few years ago to buy my land originally but they want £550 for acting for me - is this over the top ? I have had to blow the budget so want to keep costs down so any advice would be great ! thanks

thanks for reply - I know that I will probably have to fork out over 500 but it would be nice to find a cheaper option - haha - when has anything to do with horses got a cheaper option that is any good !!

Please use a solicitor, we know to our cost the problems when you dont! :( Cue solicitors fees to sort it all out after the event! Feel free to PM if you want more details on what can go wrong when you trust someone with your money!
Good luck with your extended land tho, nothing can beat having your own! :)

thanks for reply ! i will use solicitors but just wanted to check i wasnt missing a trick ! it will be lovely to have an extra couple of acres as really struggling with land (have had to pay through the nose for it of course !)
