I want to see how much I can save by getting a prescription from my vet for regumate porcine (I use the pig version because it is loads cheaper than the equine one). I have had a look and I cant see the exact type I use ie in a canister. Where does everyone order their regumate from? Does anyone use the pig version that lasts 3/4 months for their horse and knows what one I need to get? Thank you

You may find that your vet will not give you a prescription for porcine regumate as in theory he is breaking drug prescribing laws by selling it to you when an equine specific version of the same drug exists. So, you may find that your existing arrangement is as cheap as you'll get it. Having said that the price of equine regumate has come down a lot so you may be able to get a better deal by shopping around.

Hey why not try medicanimal.com but you wll need a written prescripton from your vet b4 you can get it delivered.

Although he was breaking the law (they should be free) my vet charged me £20 for writing the prescription for my regumate off internet.
