I am looking to buy a rug via the Net as my local saddlers have a limited stock and one of them doesn't even allow refunds (only exchanges and credit notes). I was going to order from horserugs4u but it seems they have a bad press. Anyone know anyone else that's good and delivers within a reasonable time?

I rate Robinsons personally, they do a good range and delivery is not too bad either (cost & time wise), i get alot from them, as soon as i have spare money!
Ebay is also worth a look

another vote for equestrian clearance warehouse.

premier equine international have a more limited range of own brand (but IMO good) products, do a flat rate postage and normally get stuff to me in a couple of days.

I hate Robinsons and horserugs4u, but I have had rugs off TDS Saddlers, Equestrian Clearance and Rideaway and all have been brilliant. I found Frogpool unhelpful but all the other three were really helpful if ever I rang up and needed help, and delivery was very quick. I have used Derby House for other things as well and also find them really good. IMO Robinsons has had it's day, and horserugs4u is too well known on here (not in a good way)!

I've been really pleased wih equestrian clearance & www.4dobbin.co.uk . Derby House I've had mixed dealings with, the problem I've come up against a couple of times is even if I've asked when ordering they don't say that goods aren't in stock! OK if you aren't in a rush but I wouldn't use them for anything I needed quickly.

If you're looking for a good rug for a cob with very broad shoulders and chest I have just bought a great one off ebay for £30! It is a medium weight, shoulder darts etc.. but sits higher up from the wither, almost like a half-neck and its perfect for my cob. Every other rug just seems to be too tight on the wither or, if I adjust it, too tight on the chest. Lovely rug and if you want details of the seller then just PM me.

i used to love robinsons, but recently when ive tried to order theyve had barely half of the items i want in stock, and what really got me is them (on two seperate occaisons) offering me the next size up/down on footwear and riding hats (um, then theyd be the wrong size, thankyou but no thankyou)

Equestrian Clearance are brilliant, I can't reccomend them enough. I also found frogpool manore really good. One thing though whoever you get it from, give them a call to make sure what you want is in stock before you order especially this time of year!

Don't go anywhere near Horserugs4u, they are awful!

I bought rugs from horserugs4u and delivery took 4eva! Have bought other stuff from Ride-Away and if in stock delivery is 2 to 5 days. Also bought a Shires Chillcheeta and a Rambo off ebay, they delivered promptly.
