Buying shavings in bulk

Have just changed from straw to shavings as per new yard rule!!

I put 7 bales down a week ago and another 1 in a couple of days ago.

I was hoping on 1 bale per week however it seems as though my messy mare has other ideas!!

Does anyone have any details of shavings I can buy in bulk maybe by the pallet?

Its going to cost me a fortune otherwise!!

Try contacting John Givens at Abbey & co - they do bedmax by the pallet at a good rate - although you may have to order more than one pallet at a time.

I got mine from White Horse Shavings, had 150 bales delivered for £5.60 per bale, when they were £8 in the feed shops.

I split the delivery with others on the yard at the time, so kept about 40 bales.

i buy my bedmax direct from them !! works out much cheaper but have to buy two pallets (84) to get delivery ,but save approx 1.50 per bale,locally they are nearly £7 per bale
