Yes, once when I ordered the wrong one and then ordered the right one a week later. They just wanted to check I wasn't about to give the second order on top of the first, I thought it was pretty responsible of them :)

That's odd. What sort of questions were you being asked? Had you ordered an unusually large number or variety of wormers or something?
noit was one wormer for one horse. i was left a phone message and asked to ring back to answer questions. he wasnt in, i explained that i couldnt wait around ,eventually the sales lady got through to him. apparently because i didnt know the previous product hed queeried the order fair enough, but he tried to give me a lecture about FECs. when he was informed athat i knew the result he was suprised i'd had one done and queeried needing to worm a 200 count. the horse is new to me, my others all came back at less than 50. so as per advice from FEC company i want to worm this horse. He seems shocked that a tapeworm saliva test had been done too, infact he assumed that I knew nothing whatsoever about worming horses and that this new one didnt need worming. I got rather annoyed TBH.

Mole rang me when I ordered from them.
It was annoying as I probably knew more that he did however we had a nice conversation. No point in being annoyed with them. That is their firm's policy.

OTOH you could have known nothing and they wouldn't have been able to tell from your order
If the firm had managed to stop someone worming as they were not aware of FECs then it would have been a bonus.

Tbf 200 epg only just squeaks into the medium count range (which ranges from 200 - 1175 epg).

It's unfortunate that you found his manner to be unpleasant and patronising. Maybe he needs to brush up on his people skills. At least he was trying to find out more about the horse's background rather than dishing out wormers willy nilly. Though if he'd tried to patronise me he'd have got short shrift o_O, so I do sympathise.

I'd just move on to another supplier next time.

ETA I ordered wormers on Friday and they have been despatched - no phone call. I've been with the company in person and on line for years, though.
