Is it just me?
You go to a tack shop to buy wormers, and now have to have their half hour lecture, give all details of your horse, including details that are irrelevant to worming (sex, breed, colour, where they are kept) and then be questioned about why you are buying as many at once its my next few months plan so i dont have to go through the lecture each time) rather than being there for info if required.
It drives me insane. Gone are the days a group of us brought wormers together, you cant do that in the local shops any more.
Beauracracy gone mad.

By law an SQP has to ask about the animal being treated and verify in their mind that the person buying the wormer is the owner of the aninmal. They also need your address. Due to the overuse of wormers by people using them without real need we now have a real anthelinitc resistance problem - hence the need for anyone who sells wormers to make sure they are going to be used for the purpose stated. SQPs can only sell the quantity needed at the time - again to stop overuse / misuse. They are not trying to make your life difficult
