Hi
I,m looking at changing my horse insures and have been getting quotes , but most of them require a BVA mortality certificate which i,ve never heard of , any ideas?

I think it'll be the same sort of thing when we insure foals. You just get a vet to check eyes, heart and lungs and sign a letter for you. Basically to prove the horse is alive and well I think!

Basically like 2 stage certificate - identiifes horse, confirms recent vet treatment, any marks, scars etc. Checks heart (apparently interesting when the RAF are doing low flying exercises in the area...)

hello
I've not long had one done for my youngster. It's like a 2 stage vetting; eyes and heart I think.
the vet doing mine was pretty thorough from what he said to me on the phone. He checked mouth/teeth, legs, feet, eyes, heart.
