Poor old thing is off to the vets in a few days to be PTS.
Nan had Jenna as a rescue dog at the grand old age of 12, after the family who had her decided they could no longer keep her. She came to them a nervous little dog but unbelievably friendly. Always wagging her tail, demanding tit bits, and gradually grew in confidence (including terrorising the poor cats!).
She started to go down hill last year and became incontinent, her hearing was going and she was all but blind, but she still found her way around the house and garden alright as nothing ever moved.
Now at 15 she's all but totally blind, deaf as a post (unless it's a ham packet!), but last night she fall off the step up to the kitchen, and it turns out that there is more wrong with her than we first thought (I've wondered for a while if she may have a cancer).
So poor old Jenna dog is on her way to cross rainbow bridge later this week
so her last days will be spent eating whatever she likes, chasing the poor cats and generally having a field day!
Bye bye Jen Jen
