Wondering whether it's worth joining. I'm 22 and only affiliated BD last November. Horse is rising 7 and working at medium at home competing at elementary. What are the plus points? Are the clinics/camps worthwhile? Or should I just not bother and do the regional clinics etc. I feel like I might really be too old to just join now, although I know the age limit is 25.

Any opinions and advice would be great. Thanks In advance.

BYRDS is certainly worth joining for all keen dressage riders under 25. After that age then go to regional events. With both you get the opportunity to attend clinics, camps and compete for your region in the inter-regionals. There are also international friendlies. You will make a lot of new friends and have great fun. It is very friendly. JUst look on the BD website for things in your region and then go for it. Enjoy.

Go for it! I was 22 when I joined. The camps are great, you get access to some excellent instructors and riding as part of a team is always good fun. Im on the wrong side of 25 now but had a lot of fun for a few years :)
