Has anyone tried putting an off the shelf cabin/loft bed in their horsebox? I am revamping the living in my 7.5t but there is no luton so to maximise floor space was wondering if I could just put in a metal frame single bed on legs (well secured). Or any other suggestions? Have tried a folding camp bed but find them very uncomfortable plus am surrounded by kit, tack, feed etc. No tack lockers so everything except the horse is in a roughly 2x2.3m square room. Wanting to keep the weight to a minimum as well for payload. Thank you for any tips or experiences you might be able to share ?

Electrically powered and manually operated drop down beds are very popular in campervan and motorhomes as it is a great use of the space.

Here's an example of an electrical version - I don't know the company it's just an example. If you're on a budget, then you may be able to find a written off motorhome or campervan that you can buy the do down bed from ?
