I'm looking for a second hand Isabell Werth dressage saddle.

Does it make a difference to horse comfort and how long the saddle lasts whether it is cair or flocked?

Would go for flock every time after having had one with Cair, but only cos my horse didnt like Cair, and flock is more adjustable.

Definitely flock: cair is vile , it is like riding on a football, very hard on the horse's back and totally non-adjustable .

interestingly i just bought a new saddle recently & test rode the innova with cair , apparenly the newer bates cair saddles can be adjusted as they are now designed to take foam inserts

I have one of each (different horses) i do prefer cair but they dont suit or fit all horses. I found thatif you put your hand under the back of the saddle when riding your hand went numb really quite quickly with flock but in cair it didnt there was pressure but it sat round and disspersed the pressure much better! try it!!!!!.....

i'd always go for flock, the cair air bags have to have edges somewhere, and i don't like the idea of edges of anything in the panels under my seat, possibly making pressure points. flock is very adjustable and very comfy for the horse.

I had to replace my Flocked Isabell with a new cair as they can be adjusted with inserts like pennyh said!

saddler is trying to sell my old saddle for me...I should really ask how thats going I could definately do with the money!!!
