CAIR panels.

I have a wintec endurance that was fitted to my mare originally and she has gone very nicely for years in it. Suddenly started to objecting under saddle and did all the basic checks. Saddler said saddle was fine but on gut instinct I swapped saddle. Bad behaviour stopped immediately and has never returned.

Tried same saddle on a gelding. Seemed a reasonable fit on him but he is now showing soreness along his back. I’m convinced it is the CAIR panels which are now quite soft and spongy.

I spoke to wintec and they tell me the panels can be replaced if a problem but saddler said they can’t do anything with them. Does anyone have any advice or experience?

I’m not opposed to taking them out all together and flocking if this is a better answer.

Have them taken out and replaced with flocking. Any good saddler can do it.

I was shocked at how crappy they are when they were replaced in one of my saddles. But they had functioned well for years and then wore out.
