I thought it was Biotin which helped to promote healthy feet and good growth?

Biotin is the only thing my farrier rates...calcium is for us as I far as I know.
Be careful of buying biotin with too much protein in it in case it effects fizzyness etc.

No is the short answer. However both hair and hoof proteins do contain a relatively large proportion of the sulphur containing amino acids. These can easily be deficient,in the feed.Hoof supliments attempt to correct this problem.

No. Ive just checked the ingredients for farriers formula and there is no calcium in it at all. The closest you get to calcium is calcium iodate which is a iodine.
Farriers formula has biotin, protiens, zinc, copper, amino acids etc in it. But no calcium
