Does anyone out there have a caldene full or cob sized bridle they could measure for me??

Especially if you have their plain wide snaffle bridle, as otherwise I'm hoping their sizes are standard across all their bridles.

My cob has an inbetweeny head, so it depends on brand as to which size I need.

the noseband circumference on the usual hole on his current bridle is 26",
browband needs to be 16"
and from bit to bit (or end of one cheekpiece over the crown to the end of the other one) is 40"

so I'm not sure if I'll need full or cob size.

thanks so much!

Okay, noseband circumference is 26" when fastened on the last hole.

The browband is 15" measured on the outside.

The bit to bit will be fine. Plenty of adjustment there.I have it at 34" for my mare one the second hole and there is another 4" of play of each side.

Its a lovely bridle by the way. Very good value. I was originally looking at Jeffries and the like because she is a new horse to me so was prepared to invest but the Caldene bridle is lovely quality.

I also have the hunting breastplate which is also lovely.

Hope this helps. :)

thanks so much for that! looks like it might be a full size then.
though I'll probably end up with the cheekpieces on the highest hole as usual!
oh well. might see if the saddler could alter it slightly.

My previous horse was exactly the same, just slightly too big for cob size. I had to buy full sized bridles though he was only 14.1hh. Big head = lots of brains :D

The nosebands never looked right on him so in the end I did without and he looked much better!
