Called a Liar...what to do?

Well, this is horse related, it takes place around horses.

I've got a question...a reality check maybe. A friend and fellow boarder told me she was going to move her retired horse to a friend's farm. It turns out the same day the stable owner came up to her and said she'd heard she was going to move her horse. The next time I saw my friend she told me she didn't appreciate me telling the yard owner she was moving him...I said I never said anything about it to anyone (I really didn't). My friend replied, "you were the only one I told who was at the barn". I called up the barn owner and asked, "Who told you she was moving?"....turns out, Jean Phillipe, my friend's husband, told her. Woohoo! The correct person spilled the news!

When I mentioned this revelation my friend responded, "No, the stable owner mentioned it to me before he arrived". So, I've been called a liar twice and she's not the type of personality who apologizes (I think she gets mad when she knows she's in the wrong). I like(d) her and enjoy riding and showing with her...but I'm really pissed at being called a liar and the male in me is righteously indignant at her behaviour. Sometimes I think I'm too willing to kick people to the kerb and walk away from what were friendships too easily. Any comments would be appreciated.

Meh, shrug it off. You know you weren't the lier, so it's no skin off your back. It's her problem. Just say you have said what you have to and it's up to her if she believes you or not.

How old are they anyway, 12? Sounds like they need to grow up.

if she doesn't do apologising then I would forget about it. Yes she should believe you but she obviously isn't going to so I would move on. Be friends but just watch your back. Not worth a big worry imho!
