I have just bought my welsh sec D mare who has now come into season and completely changed. My vet suggested 'Mare Magic' which I can only find in America - it has great reviews so is shame. Moody Mare I have seen but that doesn't have great reviews. Anything anyone can suggest?!

I have used NAF Oestress on my mare, I found it quite effective. When I spoke to the NAF people they said you can use it alongside NAF Magic if she is really bad.

The main mare season suppliments are Oestress and Stroppy mare. Stroppy mare I tried once and it didn't make a blind bit of difference. Oestress made an amount of difference.

I like global herbs Frisky Mare plus - I tried quite a few and this one my mares eat without question and it seemed to help - I only really noticed the difference when I ran out and they both became mardy and mareish again.

yeah another vote for NAF Oestress, it helped our mare a bit with her attitude on the ground anyway.

Regumate was the same, but very expensive and made no difference to her ridden work. Have heard good things about giving Raspberry leaves and chastetree berry but haven't tried it myself

This year, my mare has been having Agnus Castus and her behaviour has vastly improved. A lot cheaper than the named products - I got mine from Ebay. :)

I know from another thread this horse is new to OP and she (OP) is having some small issues with settling in. She is seeking help and advice on those.

Personally I'd recommend OP waiting until those have been addressed before drugging the horse. You might find that the behaviour is more manageable than you think. :-)

Good luck.
