Hi - I would be interested to know please ..... for those of you who use wood pellets ....

Do your beds change at all in freezing conditions? Any advice/hints & tips on maintaining and laying new beds during the cold winter months?

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

I don't add as much water in the winter. Sometimes I put the bags in dry and let the moisture in the air break the pellets down.

Same!

Although I used them last year on a much drier horse and found it impossible They just didn't break down at all. Now I have a slightly leaky stable I remove the wee but leave the rain wet and mix in dry pellets- perfect!

We have a box walker with massive feet on our yard. In the pellets go, leave them a while, then take a barrow-ful of freshly squashed pellets to whichever stables need them :p
