Hi there! Any more happy hackers out there in the East Devon area? I'm talking about the area between Ottery St Mary and Exeter airport, or thereabouts, and its surrounds.
My neighbour and I are trying to get some old tracks opened up again for riding plus some "new" bridleways - and we were wondering if anyone else would like to join us?
We would need to form a properly organised group, under the auspices and similar to the "Three Bridleways" group which is in existence, to be a sort of pressure group to raise awareness of the lack of decent hacking off-road and to pressure the relevant authorities to do something about it!!!!
To do nothing is not an option; almost everyone knows someone who's been involved in an accident on the roads, or has been unfortunate enough to be in an incident themselves, and there are so many children in particular on ponies now who have to go out on the highway and have things like buses letting their air brakes off deliberately etc etc. So we must try to pressure Devon County Council and others, to do something about this very important issue.
If you're interested, please PM me. There's only two of us at the moment and we'd love for anyone else to come and join us.
