Calling Officer Momo!

I had a long haired chi who would have been okay for the manwork part of police dog work, had he been able to reach. He used to sleep on my bed and really guarded me, wouldn't let anywhere near at night. And if he wasn't biting people he was peeing on their feet, he even used a visiting police dog handler as a lamp post once.:o
 
I think it's a great idea, I always worry about the larger dogs not being able to reach people properly, although they can indicate 'dead' or 'alive' from a bit of a distance.

Anybody interested in the search and rescue discipline should read 'So That Others May Live' by Caroline Hebard, inspiring stuff!
 
I now have a vision of being trapped under an earthquake only to have a little Chi come running up and pee on my feet :eek:

I think it's a great idea too (probably didn't come across in my first post :o) - shows they can actually have a purpose instead of being strapped into Paris Hilton's handbag like a furry lipgloss :rolleyes:

CC - just googled that book, I just knew there had to be a GSD on the cover! :p
