Does anyone know if it's ok to soak enough calm and condition in the evening for the morning feed as well? I always used to prepare a couple of days worth of sugar beet in one go and would like to do the same with C&C if possible - just saves a bit if time in the mornings!
Thank you

I use fast fibre and make it the day before, so that someone can put it in the next morning, so I'm certain C&C is fine too! however, I do always find it needs a bit more water the next day! though I don't measure it out when I make it, I just make it until it mixes up nicely!

I make up Calm and Condition in the evening, enough for feeding the following day in two feeds. Usually have to add more water but never had any problems doing it this way :)

Yes it should be fine. I make my C&C up in the morning with half cold water and half boiled water. It's ready in no time at all, the hot water really makes a difference, and he quite enjoys having it warm in the winter

i do this, make it up in the evening for all 3 feeds the next day, i don't have a problem with it although the bag says 2 water to 1 dry scoop - but i find once its soaked if i acctually want to get the darned stuff out i have to put 4 water to 1 dry scoop

Not C&C but Fast Fibre which is pretty similar. I make up a bucketful - enough for two or three days and never had any problems. I find if you soak it according to instructions and once it's soaked add about half as much water again and stir, you get the perfect consistency for then adding chaff and wetting down the rest of the feed. It then stays that consistency. If you try soaking it with that amount of water straight off, it seems to absorb it all and dry out.

I put the morning feed to soak the evening before, and the evening feed to soak in the morning (if you can unravel that). I just would be cautious about soaking it too long before in hot weather, as it may go off quicker. It does say it only needs a 10 min soak, which is pretty quick.

Yes I should add mine only get fed in the winter so don't do it in warm weather.
