Calm and Condition soup !

Well in desperation to get water into the little lad - he never seams to drink anything and uses his water buckets to "dunk" his hay in, and to try and give the boys a treat as they are on meger hard feed rations due to being confined to barracks - you cant stand up on our yard these last three days - i put a small amount of calm and conditon into a large amount of boiling water - waited until it cooled enough - adding frozen carrotts worked a treat - looked at the disgusting sloppy mess and added half a scoop of hi fi lite and fed - the noises were disgusting, the mess dripping from their muzzles was horrific but i have never seen two ponies more happy with their teas than these two ! - it must have kept them occupied for over 15 mins and they had a quarter of their normal ration. looks like more sloppy mess tomorrow

Please don't use boiling water! It kills any vits/mins in the feed, warm water yes, boiling water no.

I made soup for my boy with what water I could get but the little sod knocks his feed bowl over and tips it all over the place

Lenny has soup. He chokes on anything otherwise (Very scary)

Soak his mix and chaff over night, (make it very sloppy) and it's swollen up and absorbed the lot by the morning so I add more! Slows him down a lot. No more choking. Phew.
