Hi all - I have a unique problem in that my lazy warmblood needs more concentration but not sedating.

Hes just moved yards and anything different gets him into a bit of a tiz which he takes a long time to calm down from, hes distracted in schooling and I have to get after him to listen to me but the last thing I want to do is make him more lazy !

Can anyone recommend a calmer or similar which might help him concentrate a bit more?

If he's just moved yards he's probably just feeling a bit on his toes in a new place. Calm consistent work would be the best of all, the same routine as you have been on at your old yard so that he gets comfort from that maybe? You could always try some Rescue Remedy for him perhaps.

Thanks - that what I thought initially but he settled in very well for a start and then lost it when he saw oner of the YO's horses going nuts, he has continued this way reacting to anything he hasnt seen before.

Ive never really believed in calmers but he has lifted the roof off his stable and brought the light down plus but me in a ditch whilst leading him to his field ......having said that other times he is an absolute angel.............

He needs something to knock the nervous reaction down slightly and make him listen and realise all the new things aren't actually that bad
