Can anyone recommend a calmer for an anxious gelding? Every time he's brought into the yard he becomes this shaking wreck who poos himself. It's a pitiful sight, anyone would think he'd been abused. It's also transferring into ridden work and has dumped his rider the past two times after getting so worked up. He's not been with us long but surely should be slightly more chilled..

Try Horse First Relax Me, it is the only one that I have found works for my nervous boy. You can get it from ****** if your local tack shop doesn't stock it.

If he's not going to be out competing any time soon then valerian may work. I use Equikalm daily by gold label it's mixed in with brewers yeast and hops. Or I think Lincoln do a cordial and there are several "one off" pastes that come in syringes that you can use just to help them deal with the situation a few times. It's banned for competition use though.
