Calmer for box rest

I have a 14hh 14 yr old native currently on box rest for laminitis. I emailed Global herbs about a calmer and they have suggested their re builder to feed as it also has calming properties.

Has anyone had any experience with this good or bad or has other suggestions for a box rest calmer?
