I have already done a search and found a hanful of threads but most were relating to fireworks and trying to keep the dog calm then. My problem is slightly different and am wondering if anyone can offer and advice on a calmer in any form.

I have a 4 year old staffy who has always been a bit boistorous, mad, energetic, gets over excited when I get home from work and has always jumped up people and whines like a big girls blouse. We have always been able to manage this with discipline and training. Approx 4 months ago we got a new puppy, it all went wrong in the begining and after a lot of hard work and several near death experiences for the pup they have now settle down together really well. The staffy had his manly bits taken off a about 3 months ago and has recovered well and the puppy is having his off monday now he's old enough.

However over the last few weeks the staffy is becoming a real handful. He's getting increasingly stressy and vocal and also extreemly clingy. He tears around the house knocking, what ever may be in his way, over (I'm covered in bruises and scratches from where he's jumped up me, ran into me head first). We spend as much time with his as possible, constantly trying to control his behaviour. He gets pleanty of exercise each day going for a good walk twice a day not including the times he goes down the yard inbetween. He also has plenty of opportunities to socialise with other dogs but I'm now at a loss.

Is there anything that will help chill him out and get him back the dog he was before?

Thanks in advance!

Some eople use rescue remedy and put some on the dogs tongue or in the water. Also what are you feeding?

Zylkene has changed our lives in this house. It may not work in all circumstances but our house was similar to the way you describe yours OP, since we started it the furniture stays where we put it, we have less bruises and teeth marks and the constant cruising, looking for trouble, has stopped. Hooray!
