Well it does say can take up to 3 weeks to show any effect.

Started Top Spec calmer for my cob 2 weeks ago. Last Tuesday he went bonkers coming in from field, he'd been on it a week. Horses in field next to drive were zooming around, my chap decided to rear up (yes he really does become 22 hands high when he does that!) then lunge himself round me on the lead rope at a canter, rear up, come down bounce with all 4 feet off the ground and so it goes on. Eventually I had to let go as was worried for own safety. He then proceeded to gallop up driveway into stable yard, tear round there back down drive and was finally cornered while taking a breath and with the help of a bucket of feed. He then walked calmly into his stable like nothing had happened.....

Week 3, still spooky, no escapades like above so far this week but not holding my breath. His personality hasn't changed wouldn't go past a scary skip the other day, huffing and puffing like it was going to jump up and kill him. Still on his toes.

One week to go, can I get them on trade descriptions act if he doesn't improve!!!!!!!!!

Get some Brewers' Yeast! It's infinitely cheaper, and just magic. It's good for their digestion, too, and keeps midges away in the summer!
Honestly, it has completely chilled my horse out! And others I have recommended it to.

Well to be fair Jen, a calmer doens't make them brain dead - and if horses were hooning around in the field next to yours even the calmest horse would probably have had a hissy fit

I have tried a few different calmers on my chap but finally settled on the NAF Magic. I do think though not every product works well on every horse, its more than likely you will have to try a few before you find the best one for your ned.

He's walked past mad horses in fields before and been ok I know it's a winter thing though as have had similar last 2 years, think it's not helped by bad weather recently, v windy and him having to spend longer in! Oh well so far so good this week! keeping everything crossed!!!!Didn't get an answer on the brewers yeast though, will try putting another post on to see if I get any more info. Don't want to make him brain dead just less spooky, especially for riding out!
Still love him to bits though! DOH!
