just wondering really if anyone has had experience using calmers for their nerves and if they have been successful and if so too how much affect did these have on you?

You could try chamomile tea or similar or tea containing valerian.

Rescue remedy is good also.

Both work on me when I am stressed at work. Breathing also helps a lot.

I have never used any, although could do with them before comps - once I'm going I am fine though!

I know lots of people use Bach Rescue Remedy (for rider & horse!)

Like I say, never used any so can not comment on how good it is or exactly how to use it!

I cant remember! OH got it for me. Its between £3 and 4 I think.

I appreciate your nervous, but I wouldnt use anything stronger than this as you will need to keep your wits about you. Remember to breathe!

I would really recommend the rescue remedy for this situation as well as BREATHING! LOL

Rescue remedy is great. I also have something called "student relief" but i have no idea where its from as mum bought it for me. Its a cooling gel you put on your wrists/pulse points that also has lavender and other such nice things in. It was fab during exams
