hi i dont no if any one is able to help me or give advice....

my pony once had a bad experience of being shod by a farrier.she use to just stand perfect but one time i was unable to get there due to college and i was told the farrier tied her to a post and then rammed a broom up her when she fidgeted.. (which when i was told the next day was not happy about) it took me 6 weeks to be able to touch her feet after.... anyway now she just has a trim but because of the winter i am doing alot of road work and need her to be shod and want to look for a calmer to use to just relax her more and maybe be able to shoe her with out sedation... i no i will have to work at this in the long run and am doing so everyday but her feet are low and need her shod asap so any advice on calmers would be great thank you

We had a pony much the same, she came right with a good sympathetic and very patient farrier, i dont know of any calmers that ever helped her, she even had a paddy when she was ACP'd! But as i said eventually we found a farrier who she liked and who was sympathetic about her issue.
Ive heard that Oxyshot is supposed to be very good, might be worth trying! :) x

thank you so much... i was going to try oxishot and see how it works with her... i just wanted to see what peoples thoughts are with it. im looking into a decent farrier who has patients. :) thank you for your comment though
