Could do with a calmer for our pony who gets excited at pony club etc and was just wondering if anyone can reccomend one to use just for these situations or are the ones you use all the time better? ( tried global herbs with no effect!)

equine america - so kalm seems to do it! i know some people say that calmers are more fo rthe rifders than the horse but i have a new mare and either way it helps us! I tried global herbs super calm and mag calm too. Good Luck!

Equine Americas So Calm Plus Powder is really good and can be fed either in a feed 12 hours before a show then an hour before you go or can be fed regularly over a short period of time. I've used it and found it to be excellent.
I've tried all sorts and this one seems to be the only one that has worked on my boy and one that he'll actually eat as well.

I have recently started my hysterical one on Magic calmer after reading various threads on here. After only 3 days she seems more serene

I think calmers can be trial and error. Mine are on Nupafeed permanently and it deffinitely helps. I have found the Global Herbs Instant calmer absolutely brilliant for one of mine. Guess what works for one does not work for all.

I had my three year old on Equimins serenity when we were moving house with him and he had never travelled before and it was fabulous/

I would also recommend trying Magic (NAF), it's the magnesium you are after that helps them to deal with stressful situations, we gave it to the pony for 3 days before the National Championships at Lincoln and it worked a treat, it helped with the long journey, being stabled in a strange place and the competition itself.
