Has anyone tried these things that I seem to be hearing mentioned everywhere online (very good marketing I guess) As far as I can see they are no different from a multitude of other so called calmers that have been floating around for years now offering a quick solution to countless issues, ridden and handling.

Main calming ingredient seems to be L-Tyrosine - that has been included in many previous calming solutions. But they don't state how much is in each magic biscuit so impossible to compare and I would certainly want to know what levels I am feeding to Naughty Neddy. The reviews are amazing but I would love to know if anyone has tried them and in what situations and did they actually work?

My friend swears by them for her very tricky mare and panics if she forgets them.
However, she did tell me an amusing story about last season when her horse behaved the best she ever has at an event in all 3 phases; was calm and chilled, even when a horse got loose in the warm up and went galloping past hers. The horse is known for throwing shapes in the dressage phase, but she did her best test ever. At the end of the day, she was delighted with how things had gone, then she put her hand in her gilet pocket and there was the calming cookie that she had forgotten to give her mare that morning...

I got a free trial of "Tah Dah..... *drumroll*" One Cookie.

Now, I did manage to redo a bib clip with very little fuss, but whether it was because of the cookie, or because he'd decided my little trimmers weren't that bad after all. Unfortunately have had no opportunity to try in another situation, I may buy a couple as an experiment.

Hahaha! I love that - it would be me - get all armed up with everything known to man for myself too...then get so flustered I would forget to use it but completely won over by the placebo affect.
I am thinking about them for one of my particularly difficult older donkeys who we have had to sedate one way or another for the last 20 years for the farrier, the most recent and helpful things seems to be root valerian about an hour before it's his turn. Please dont anybody give me advice on how to retrain/desensitize/overcome the problem. He is not a rescue, he has never been badly treated, he is compliant and polite in all other ways and has been with me since a very young foal - I can pick and clean his feet loose in the field, several farriers have tried and failed miserably without some sort of prior sedation. I can assure you I have overcome similar issues in other badly traumatized donkeys and horses - he is not traumatized he is simply an opinionated little git, always has been and always will be, but we love him anyway :D

Sorry I know this is an old post now but I competed my stressy mare today after feeding calming cookies. She was extremely spooky and kept bucking ! She was far worse after taking these cookies. Back to the drawing board for us . . . . .
