Calming supplements for bonfire night?

Hi, My gelding is stressy at the best of times so im on the hunt for a good calmer to get him (us) through bonfirenight. has anyone tried this calmer before? http://www.horsedirect.co.uk/shop/global-herbs-fireworx/

No sorry but I have used Global Herbs products and they're very good. I've also heard the global herbs calmer sachets are good too, however I use the NAF magic syringe for shows/travelling etc purely for ease and they take about 30mins to work and probably last about one hour or so.

I usually find a good application of alcohol to the owner and preventing the owner winding the horse up does the trick.

You could apply alcohol to the horse in the form of Rescue Remedy but how many nights are you going to do it for Increasingly fireworks night isn't just the one night . . .

Have you ay reason to think your horse will react? Will out people be having fireworks close to where you horse is? None of have ever cared about fireworks at all but they are all out in the field. The 2 who do come in overnight in winter do not come in until after bonfire night. I don't think they would care being shut in but I think it's safer them being out - just in case a stray firework /Chinese lantern etc should land!! All they have ever done is maybe watch a few but mainly they just ignore them.
