Yes, they go all over to different country. Hound Exercise usually at Great Gidding and opening meet often at Hatley Park. Just be aware that some of the meets are quite big jump-wise!
They have a good website which wil give you the huntsmans telephone number he is really helpful and wil give you information about meets etc and keep you updated about functions. www.cudh.net there is also a group on facbook too!!! PM if you want more details we hosted a meet last year and went on numerous other days of fun!!
My daughter started out with them last year and they were very friendly. The huntsman was extremely approachable and helpfull about which meets were suitable.
I don't know what's happening this year as from what I gather Bruce has resigned his position. I can only assume they will kennel the hounds elsewhere this season and run that side of things internally if it's possible with the academic workload.
I would keep an eye on the website.
There are meets everywhere from Essex to Leicestershire and everywhere in between pretty much. The biggest jumps are in Cottesmore and Fernie territory I should think. Nico Morgan's photos from last season should give you an idea: http://archive.nicomorgan.com/f983946834
Didn't realise that the main master had given up. He was out with the readyfield on sunday and was very polite and friendly. Heard he was a nice chap.
To the original poster, a friend of mine went out with the cambridge last season, she loved it. Was a pretty decent fast paced big day which was exactly what she wanted and she came back with a huge grin on her face.
