when down this morn as usual, grace stays out overnight and comes in during the day a few days a week, well it was a nice day today so thought she could stay out in her day sand paddock. popped her out and she stood munching her haylage as normal. when i went down yesterday she had been running around when all the other were being fed so just thought she was pi$$y because she wasnt being fed. went back down at lunch time today and she was pacing up and down the fence, could see she was sweating so bought her in to settle her down. the paddock was absolutly trashed! took her rug off to find this!

dont know what was up with her! she seems to be happy about the fireworks so dont think its that, shes raging in season so maybe its just her getting her knickers in a knott about being away from the others. she was white with sweat. ended up washing her off and popping her in the stable for a fews hours and she settled. shes going to need a bath tomorow though as she is soooo itchy from the dry sweat over her back and bum.

she looks like she has lost 50kg aswell! which isnt a bad thing as she was abit of a porker but id rather she didnt loose it through stressing lol!

shes seems to be very sensitive when in season so think come spring i may look into something for her hormones. this is the first mare i have owned so all new to this.

We had a horse on our yard last night that we assumed was OK with the fireworks as not rushing round his stable at all but when I heard the niagara of poo that came out his back end (pure liquid) I realised he was a lot more stressed than we thought - a couple of us checked him and he was sweated up under his rug and breathing more rapidly than usual - I think sometimes they show fear in other ways - not always hurtling about. He was just rooted to the spot with eyes out on stalks! The other thing is it's so incredibly mild at the moment my native is sweaty from barely doing anything so maybe it was that as been nice today and she got excited and been charging around and got hot. Hope Grace is OK and enjoys her bath!

its very mild here so think she will have to wear a lightweight if she stays out in the day. she goes naked when she stands in her stable. her gravel paddock was ok this morn, usually if she mooches about alot she smushes all her pooh in but everything was whole this morn so she must have been happy with fireworks last night but its quiet round our way. will prob be trashed 2moro knowing my luck haha! im surprised she hadnt pulled a shoe off or done a tendon with the state of her sand paddock!
shes a piglet to bath :-S stand still doesnt exsist in her dictionary!
